Summary Reporting directly to the Director of the School of Nursing supports the mission, purpose and goals of the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing LVHN Simulation Center. The Simulation Specialist will work collaboratively with the leadership, faculty and staff across the School of Nursing to ensure evidence-based clinical standards and simulation best practices are reflected in all simulation activities. The Simulation Specialist will provide curricular and assessment guidance for educational activities related to simulation. This includes collaboration with school of nursing faculty to design, implement, facilitate and debrief manikin-based, standardized patient, virtual simulation and clinical anatomy programming. The Simulation Specialist will provide instruction and debriefing in a student-based environment that serves many clinical disciplines including fundamental, medical surgical, mental health, obstetrics, pediatrics, advanced medical surgical, and leadership nursing. Occasional (or regular) evening or weekend shifts may be required.
