General Description Of Duties
Under the division of Clinical Services, coordinate and provide recovery-oriented supports for clients. In supporting a recovery- oriented philosophy support clinical staff in daily tasks regarding insurance, medical services, and client triage/scheduling.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Provides crisis intervention services in response to emotional and/or physical distress as it relates to the roles and responsibilities assigned.
- Ensures adherence to infection control practices.
- Contact external referral sources to gather, support and maintain appropriate paperwork for medical standards of care.
- Makes referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention through requests of medical staff.
- Monitor and manages electronic health record systems for accuracy, completed data entry when necessary.
- Orients new patients to treatment program(s).
- Provides outreach, education and assistance to individuals with insurance eligibility components.
- Identify potential customers and provide them with information about the Agency programs.
- Complete required paperwork (including customer records) in a timely fashion. Maintain customer confidentiality.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, seminars, and trainings as stipulated by Supervisor.
- Participate with community providers as it relates to programs contents area.
- Provide presentations about programs to various agencies and other referring agencies as assigned.
- Identifies emerging situations and responds appropriately involves Director or designee
- Monitors/observes Urinalysis or Breathalyzer tests as needed and documents appropriately
- Monitors and documents client vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors as part of the program structure;
- Supports medical and clinical staff
- Disposes of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards and practices OSHA safety standards and universal precautions.
- Performing other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS AND EDUCATION
Education: High School diploma with a specialized certificate in Medical Assistant preferred.
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of experience or any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform the job.
Demonstrated skills: Ability to communicate effectively, compile written reports and maintain/review case files. Ability to work in collaboration with other service providers. Must be computer literate.
Knowledge: working with homelessness, mental health, substance use, and criminal justice clients.
Physical Exam and TB Required: Yes, required prior to appointment
Bilingual: Preferred - Language: Spanish speaking

Physical Ability: Tasks involve sedentary to light work, involving some reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling of objects and materials.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, disease, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, violence, toxic/poisonous agents, disease, or pathogenic substances.
