Job description

Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.

Work Schedule: Third shift

The Clinical Service Assistant is responsible for providing non-clinical administrative support to clinical associates, nurse managers, and nurse leads in the nursing unit.

How you will make an impact
  1. Assess members via telephone and provide referrals.
  2. Support systems, workflow, and reporting-related requirements of the unit.
  3. Identify trends and opportunities for additional associate training on unit workflow and processes.
  4. Monitor unit workflow and processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
  5. Provide administrative support to associates to help in identifying and resolving workflow and process issues.
  6. Assist leads and management with the implementation of new and existing non-clinical policies and procedures.
  7. Run ad-hoc reports.
  8. Coordinate user acceptance training on new systems and enhancements, and provide input on new unit procedures, policies, and workflow-related topics.
  9. Process HIP alerts, route facsimiles, and coordinate dialer campaigns.
  10. Work with referral services associates to ensure seamless processes.
  11. Provide administrative support including triaging help desk tickets, monitoring group email/voicemail boxes, participating in clinical rounds, and processing internal referrals.
  12. Enter manual data (surveys, labs, pilots, and other ancillary manual entry requirements) and manage HRS exception reviews.
  13. Support workforce management, RN licensure, and other special projects.
Minimum Requirements
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year experience in a business or healthcare setting; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And Experiences
  • Associate degree in a related field and prior experience in a healthcare or managed care environment preferred.
  • Call center experience is strongly preferred.
