Job summary

Brooklyn Health is seeking a Clinical Scientist to oversee the quality, reliability, and integrity of CNS trial data by leading rater onboarding and scale training, conducting blinded data surveillance, and overseeing targeted site remediation to safeguard trial endpoints. The Clinical Scientist sits within the Science team.

Base salary for this position is $130,000-$200,000, and the role offers collaboration with sponsors, CROs, and study teams to improve data monitoring methods and trial QA

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Clinical Scientist, Clinical Rater, Rater Trainer, or equivalent position in CNS clinical trials (e.g., Psychiatry, Neurology)
  • Advanced degree in health sciences field (e.g., Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing, Pharmacology)
  • Deep practical familiarity with standard CNS assessments (e.g., MADRS, HAM-D, PANSS, HAM-A, CAPS-5, MINI, etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong background in clinical data evaluation, quality control frameworks, or trial QA workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret rater performance data, guide clinical decision-making, and manage site-facing interventions constructively

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to ensure quality and integrity of CNS trial outcome data and communicate insights to sponsors and CROs.
  • Lead rater onboarding and training, and develop training materials and certification process
  • Review study data and make remediation recommendations for sites and raters
  • Oversee targeted site interventions and rater remediation
  • Participate in eligibility review meetings with study team and discuss data quality impacts
  • Provide CNS expertise to study teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate to refine study data monitoring methods

About the role

We’re hiring a Clinical Scientist to oversee the quality, reliability, and integrity of study data in CNS trials by leading rater onboarding and scale training, conducting blinded data surveillance, and overseeing targeted site remediation to safeguard trial endpoints. The Clinical Scientist sits within the Science team. Base salary for this position is $130,000-$200,000.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and expertise to ensure the quality and integrity of clinical outcome assessment data in CNS clinical trials; interface with sponsors and CROs to communicate insights around study data quality
  • Lead rater training and onboarding for clinical raters, including contributing to the development of training materials and overseeing rater certification process
  • Conduct reviews of study data and make recommendations regarding site and rater feedback, interventions, and remediation
  • Oversee targeted site interventions and rater remediation
  • Participate in eligibility review meetings with study team, contributing perspectives on clinical data quality related to eligibility decisions
  • Provide subject matter expertise in CNS disorders and clinical outcome assessments internally and externally to study teams
  • Collaborate with other members of the Science team to further develop and refine study data monitoring methods
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience as a Clinical Scientist, Clinical Rater, Rater Trainer, or equivalent position in CNS clinical trials (e.g., Psychiatry, Neurology)
  • Advanced degree in health sciences field (e.g., Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing, Pharmacology)
