The Opportunity

Our mission is to restore health and improve quality of life through device and management solutions for Structural Heart disease. We aim to lead markets by providing solutions with improved benefit/risk profiles, guiding and ensuring outcomes that advance the standard of care.

This role focuses on Abbott’s Stroke Prevention offerings, including patent foramen ovale (PFO) and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO).

The Clinical Specialist provides clinical and sales support by educating customers and assisting during procedures within a defined region. Responsibilities include training healthcare professionals on Structural Heart products, providing technical support during procedures, and communicating clinical and market data to support product marketing strategies.

This position may be hired at different levels based on experience and may require travel exceeding 50%.

What You’ll Work On
  1. Collaborate with Territory Managers to ensure good case coverage and clinical outcomes.
  2. Provide clinical support for surgical coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education.
  3. Educate customers on product benefits and proper clinical usage, including industry developments.
  4. Engage in clinical discussions, linking data outcomes to messaging.
  5. Meet with healthcare providers to identify clinical needs and offer solutions.
  6. Maintain a strong clinical orientation and influence clinician personalities.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience.
  • 9+ years of cardiovascular-related work experience; 3+ years in structural heart electrophysiology or vascular space.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, with accommodations available upon request.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in life sciences or medical training (RN, EMT, Perfusion, etc.).
  • Experience with interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery products, and familiarity with echo cardiology and indirect imaging.

The base salary ranges from $75,300 to $150,700, with variations based on location.
