Job summary

Centra Health is seeking an RN II in Lynchburg, Virginia to provide individualized patient care and collaborate with physicians and the health care team. The role requires a diploma/associate degree in nursing and Virginia RN licensure (or compact license) with BLS certification.

Expect responsibilities across assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education. The RN II will ensure a safe care environment, manage a full patient assignment, and contribute to quality outcomes

Qualifications

• One year of nursing (RN) experience is required.
• Registration as an RN in Virginia or a compact license is required.
• AHA BLS provider certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individualized patient assessments and prioritizes data collection.
• Develops, modifies, and implements an individualized care plan with measurable goals.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and initiates emergency resuscitative measures when needed.
• Evaluates patient responses to care and updates the interdisciplinary care plan accordingly.
• Educates patients and families to ensure understanding and participation in care plans.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
