Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions (HWS) partners with MaineHealth to provide travel nurse opportunities in York, Maine. Assignments are 8, 10, or 13 weeks based on facility need, with comprehensive support and housing options.

As a travel nurse you’ll assist healthcare professionals, monitor patient conditions, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to patient education and safety. A minimum of one year acute hospital experience and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care

• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs


• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances


• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient

What We Require from You:
