Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions partners with MaineHealth to place travel nurses in its network of facilities in Portland, ME, for 8, 10, or 13 week assignments based on facility need. The program emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and career growth within a supportive system.

As part of the MaineHealth partnership, nurses have access to weekly direct deposit, guaranteed hours, and housing or housing subsidies, along with a broad network for professional development and relocation

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide appropriate education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient

What We Require from You:
