Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Santa Clarita is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool. The RN will independently apply the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic care across patient groups in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Required is California RN licensure, BLS, and ASN with BSN strongly preferred. A minimum of 1 year acute hospital experience is expected, with additional relevant experience as needed.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• BLS provider card required
• ICU ACLS certification required
• DOU ACLS certification required
• CCRN/Trauma certifications preferred
• Telemetry course required (MS1)
• Telemetry course required (MS2)
• Telemetry + Chemo provider/chemo certification preferred (MS3)
• Experience: 1 year acute hospital experience
• MAB provider card preferred (if applicable)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on HMNMH’s policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certification:

• Current California RN licenseCurrent BLS provider card required
• Certified in field of specialty preferred
• ICU - Current ACLS certification required
• Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, Trauma) preferred
• DOU – Current ACLS certification required
• Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, PCCN, Trauma) preferred
• MS1 – Telemetry course, Stroke Course required
• MS2 – Telemetry course required
• MS3 – Telemetry course, Chemo Provider/Chemo Certification preferred
• MS4 & 5 – Experience required
• MAB provider card preferred

Education

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year acute hospital experience required
• Additional experience in areas commensurate with primary work assignment.
