Job summary

Physicians’ Surgery Center of Tidewater, affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI), seeks a Clinical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for all clinical functions of the ASC. The role ensures patient-centered care, compliance, and coordination among nursing, anesthesia, surgical, and support staff.

The Clinical Director partners with the Administrator on budgeting, staffing and performance improvement initiatives in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school
• Current RN license
• Proven experience as clinical director or other nursing leadership role
• Experience in clinical supervision and program management
• OR experience; perioperative experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and supervision to clinical staff, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
• Ensure OR and perioperative operations meet high standards of patient care and safety.
• Oversee clinical operations, maintaining quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations, certifications and licensure requirements.
• Lead quality-improvement initiatives and promote best practices in clinical care.
• Recruit, train and develop clinical staff to meet qualifications and certifications.
• Collaborate with administration on budgeting and staffing for clinical services.
• Work with physicians, surgeons, anesthesia and admin staff to optimize patient care and operations.
