Lifeline of Ohio is seeking a Clinical Responder to provide on-site response to area hospitals, collaborating with Family services, Hospital Development, Organ Recovery, and partner hospital clinical teams to evaluate donor referrals and plan donation.
The role requires a high school diploma and Allied Health certification, with night shift hours 7p-7a and reliable transportation to partner hospital sites within our service area.
Consistent with the mission, vision and values of Lifeline of Ohio, the Clinical Responder provides on-site response to area hospitals in collaboration with Family services, Hospital Development, Organ Recovery, and partner hospital clinical teams. The Clinical Responder evaluates the suitability of patient referrals for all potential organ donors and develop a plan with the healthcare team to maintain the option of donation.
**This is a full-time, hourly position during NIGHT SHIFT. Typical hours are 7p-7a.***MUST have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to partner hospital sites within our service area.1. Quickly respond to donor referrals received by Donation Support Services from hospital partners, conducting on-site follow-up.
2. Conduct comprehensive suitability evaluations of potential organ donor referrals in conjunction with organ recovery coordinator and team lead.
3. Monitor candidate status daily in collaboration with hospital staff as long as referrals remain potential donors.
4. Transition suitable donors to the Family Services team to obtain authorization for donation.
5. Assist in charting responsibilities of organ recovery team
6. Other duties as assigned
