Job summary

Appling Healthcare in Baxley, GA seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient care under department leadership. You will assess and treat lung conditions, manage oxygen and aerosol therapies, and perform ABG analysis per physician orders.

The role requires GA RRT licensure, CPR and ACLS certifications, and ongoing CEU maintenance. You will document procedures, participate in team-based care, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a Georgia-licensed RRT (RCP).
• Maintain CEUs as required for licensure in Georgia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong communication and writing skills required.
• Extensive experience across diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, rehab, home care, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with lung or breathing conditions.
• Administer oxygen, humidity, aerosol therapies, and respiratory pharmacology.
• Perform ABG analysis and ensure quality control of arterial blood gas testing.
• Document procedures and departmental records accurately and promptly.
• Participate in hospital in-service education and mandatory meetings.
• Communicate clinical problems to supervisor and participate in special projects.
