Qualifications

Responsibilities

A registered nurse in this institution will deliver nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and standards. The RN will maintain competency and apply scientific knowledge to meet patient needs. Organizational skills and support of hospital and department philosophies are essential.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct care assessments and interpret data to determine needs.
  • Complete system-based and hospital-specific competencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of observations, treatments, medications, and patient responses.
  • Evaluate, plan, and administer care in collaboration with patients and families, considering cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
  • Delegate and supervise routine technical functions appropriately.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and revise care plans accordingly.
  • Negotiate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to resolve conflicts.
  • Act as a resource and support patient and family-centered care, including education and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet facility needs.
Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current RN license in Kentucky
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Specialty certifications as per unit requirements

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Critical Care experience required.
  • Knowledge of current nursing practices.
Pay Range

$45.00 per hour
