Job summary

IntelliResume is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse in Hackensack, NJ to coordinate clinical trial operations and ensure regulatory compliance for assigned studies.

The role requires a BSN or equivalent nursing credential, an NJ RN license, and 3 years of clinical nursing experience or 1 year in research plus 2 years in nursing. Per diem schedule. Priority to qualified candidates at Hackensack Meridian Health facilities.

Qualifications

• BSN required; associate degree or diploma accepted for those hired before 31 March 2024.
• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience or 1 year nursing plus 2 years clinical research experience.
• Current NJ State Professional RN License.
• BLS HCP Certification within 60 days of starting.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal investigator in preparing proposed clinical trials.
• Ensure timely submission of protocol revisions and informed consents to the IRB.
• Act as liaison between principal investigators and sub-investigators on regulatory issues.
• Participate in the review of studies for feasibility and evaluate potential competition.
• Recruit and evaluate potential study patients, scheduling required appointments.
• Modify and deliver care specific to patient needs, communicating effectively.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on aspects of care and available trials.
• Document study patients' medical history per protocol guidelines.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patients' progress during trials.
• Coordinate research activities, including scheduling laboratory and medical exams.

• Licenses & Certifications: Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
