Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring a Clinical Research Nurse I (CRN I) to facilitate clinical research activities, open protocols, evaluate new patients, and coordinate protocol-related care for those enrolled in trials. The CRN I will ensure protocol compliance and quality data capture in accordance with federal regulations.

The role reports to the investigators and works with regulatory staff and sponsors, enrolling subjects and maintaining essential regulatory and data documentation.

Qualifications

• BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with a current FL RN license and one year of relevant nursing experience.
• In lieu of BSN, ADN/ASN with a current Florida RN license and three years relevant nursing experience.
• NPDB self-check required; no NPDB reports unless appealed to remove from NPDB.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate opening new protocols and new patient evaluation, register eligible patients, and coordinate protocol-related care for enrolled patients.
• Provide direct patient care, perform ongoing assessments, deliver education, and document per regulatory guidelines for clinical trials.
• Serve as liaison between investigators, primary care providers, regulatory staff, and sponsor; screen, enroll, and follow study subjects.
• Maintain data and source documentation and regulatory files in collaboration with the regulatory specialist.
