Job Description - Clinical Research Program Lead (2500015C)

Position Title: Clinical Research Program Lead (2500015C)

Description:

The Clinical Research Program Lead (CRPL) will support clinical trials, studies, and implementation science research at a subspecialty clinic in the Heart Center. Responsibilities include supporting principal investigators, developing program strategies, overseeing research activities such as IRB submissions, regulatory oversight, participant management, data collection, and collaboration with various partners. The CRPL will also coordinate grant proposals, study design, and documentation including protocols and manuscripts.

The role involves interfacing with faculty, collaborators, and administration to report progress and resolve challenges. Essential skills include excellent communication, organization, proactive problem-solving, and attention to detail. The position reports to a Clinical Research Program Manager/Director and the Principal Investigator. The earliest start date is July 1, 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: B.A./B.S. in science, technical, or health-related field with >5 years relevant experience; MS with 3 years; Doctoral with >2 years.
  • Minimum Work Experience: 2-4 years in clinical research, managing NIH or industry-sponsored projects, with supervisory experience. Preference for experience in pediatrics, cardiology, prevention, rare or chronic diseases, public health, sports science, or digital health. Strong scientific writing skills are required.

  • Manage research projects within regulations and policies, ensure proper use of funds, and comply with training requirements.

  • Protect patient confidentiality, communicate respectfully and effectively, and collaborate across healthcare teams.

Project Management:

  • Manage research operations, meet deadlines, ensure IRB compliance, document accurately, oversee recruitment and data management, and assist in grant submissions.

  • Stay current with scientific literature, contribute to team meetings, represent the organization, and respond to customer needs.

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Collaborate respectfully, support team goals, and value others’ ideas.
