Job summary

The Translational NeuroEngineering Laboratory at the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clinical Research Professional to support human neuroscience studies and trials of DBS and related technologies for depression, OCD, and other conditions.

The role includes direct participant interaction, data collection, recruitment, study coordination, and administrative support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines while maintaining clear communication with staff and participants.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot without disrupting workflow.
• Ability to follow established research protocols and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to interact professionally with research participants, including individuals with significant emotional disturbances.
• Ability to work across clinical and research settings, including clinics and research laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely study and regulatory documentation for multiple studies.
• Assist with recruitment and screening of potential research participants and outreach.
• Interact with research participants and perform study procedures using specialized equipment.
• Assist with entry, organization, and maintenance of clinical research data.
• Follow established study protocols, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and participant safety procedures.
