Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Clinical Research Paramedic (CRP) to ensure the well-being of study volunteers and oversee clinical operations per protocol. The role requires current Paramedic or EMT licensure with ACLS/BLS certification and hands-on clinical procedure experience in a research setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring volunteers’ health, administering medications and study drugs, IV placement, ECGs, phlebotomy, and assisting with nurse station oversight.

Qualifications

• Valid state or national Paramedic or EMT license.
• ACLS and BLS certification required for Paramedic or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Monitor study volunteer health and safety by completing adverse event assessments.
• Oversee monitoring of cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry.
• Administer concomitant medications to volunteers as allowed per protocol and approved by an Investigator.
• Administer study drug according to study protocol guidelines.
• Perform IV catheter placement.
• Conduct vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, urine collection and related procedures.
• Assist with meals for volunteers and oversee Nurse’s Station and clinic areas.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.

The Clinical Research Paramedic title is an internal designation and the position could include Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) trained in Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor study volunteer health and safety by completing adverse event assessmentsOversee the monitoring of cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetryAdminister concomitant medications to volunteers as allowed per protocol and approved by an InvestigatorAdminister study drug according to study protocol guidelinesIntravenous (IV) catheter placementPerform medical procedures, including but not limited to vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy, urine collection, etc.Assist with preparing and serving meals to volunteersAssist in oversight of Nurse’s Station and other clinic areas, as delegatedPerform general housekeeping duties as needed, such as restocking linens, taking out trash, sweeping floors, making beds, etc.Other duties as requiredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Valid state or national Paramedic or EMT license• ACLS and BLS certification is required for Paramedic or EMTPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• At least 1 year Paramedic or EMT experience• Related job experience preferred
