Job summary

Indiana University in Indianapolis is seeking a Research Nurse/Study Coordinator within the Department of Anesthesia. The role supports protocol development, risk assessment, recruitment, consent, and regulatory submissions for clinical studies.

Responsibilities include coordinating enrollment, liaising with health professionals, handling specimens, budgets, and audits, and coaching staff on GCP and study procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists PI and participates in protocol development and risk assessment.
• Designs recruitment strategies and consents subjects per IRB/protocol.
• Recruits subjects and monitors enrollment goals.
• Ensures proper collection, processing, and shipment of specimens; communicates with lab and sponsor.
• Prepares study budgets and reconciles accounts; reviews contracts/agreements.
• Submits IRB documents (consent, ads, protocol).
• Schedules training and educates staff on study procedures and GCP.
• Manages study inventory and maintains compliance docs.
• Prepares for monitor visits and sponsor/FDA audits.
• Keeps up-to-date with regulatory affairs and clinical literature.
