Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Safety Professional to develop and maintain safety programs across clinical, research, and support operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, inspections, exposure monitoring, incident investigations, and safety training, ensuring regulatory and institutional compliance while partnering with Safety Officers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, science, engineering or related safety discipline required.
• Hazardous Materials Technician training preferred (or training within 1 year of hire).
• DOT/IATA Dangerous Goods training preferred (or training within 1 year of hire).
• Prior relevant experience in EHS, infection prevention/control, or radiation safety programs is preferred.
• Experience implementing federal/state regulations and license conditions is preferred.
• At least 1 year of EHS experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform day-to-day workflow within safety area.
• Respond to safety-related questions from stakeholders.
• Prepare reports on work progress and areas of improvement.
• Deliver institutional education and training in safety.
• Execute tasks related to risk assessment and remediation.
