Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking a Research Grants Specialist II to direct day-to-day operations of multiple large research projects, primarily conducted at the Brown Cancer Center. This in-person role in Louisville, KY, is grant-funded and will end when grant funding ends.

Salary will be commensurate with experience; target compensation will be $61,147 - $65,000. The position requires coordination of IRB submissions, grant budgets, and dissemination of research findings.

Qualifications

• Experience with human research protocols or research involving human subjects.
• Experience coordinating data collection across multiple studies.
• Experience managing grant budgets and related financial processes.
• Familiarity with IRB policies and continuing reviews.
• Strong communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day management of multiple large research projects, coordinating timelines and study partners.
• Prepare IRB submissions/amendments and ongoing reviews, monitor adherence to protocols.
• Oversee fiduciary tasks: purchasing, participant incentives, and fund custody.
• Coordinate intervention sessions, data collection, and navigation services for participants.
• Prepare manuscripts, PowerPoints and abstracts for dissemination.
• Work with typical office hours, with some duties on weekends/evenings.
