Clinical Research Finance Coordinator II (Pre-Award): Remote Role

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with principal investigators and study teams to develop and negotiate budgets for clinical research studies
- Evaluate complex research protocols to assess resource needs and costs from ancillary departments
- Develop and negotiate clinical trial budgets for industry sponsors and the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Monitor study accounts, ensuring expenses are appropriate and reconciled, and manage invoicing for sponsors
- Perform Medicare coverage analysis for clinical trials and collaborate with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for approvals

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, financial analysis, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical research setting
- Strong understanding of the financial aspects of clinical trials, including budget preparation and funding management
- Hands-on experience with pre-award processes, such as grant proposals and contract negotiations

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working within a clinical research environment
- Familiarity with Clinical Trial Management Systems
- Knowledge of Medicare coverage analysis for clinical trials
- Ability to analyze financial data and make recommendations for business results
- Experience in training and educating personnel
