Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a data-focused professional to support clinical protocol research and registry data collection for the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program. You will interpret and enter data into databases, and help coordinate donor searches and related processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the clinical team, data integrity, and support for research activities across the transplant program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year data collection or data management experience required.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health science or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of clinical research and records review.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the collection and review of clinical protocol research and registry data.
  • Interpret data for entry into computerized databases.
  • Create tools related to data collection for clinical research conducted by investigators.
  • Provide support to Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program through data collection, research protocol management, and other clinical research duties.
  • Manage stem cell donor search requests.
  • Maintain and communicate donor search progress to the clinical team.
  • Negotiate and coordinate procurement of donor stem cell products in accordance with the patient’s transplant timeline.
  • Coordinate internal unrelated donor collections with clinical team, serving as a liaison between donor, Donor Center and the NMDP.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word required.

  • Knowledge of clinical research and records review required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Computer literacy required.

  • Oncology/hematology experience preferred.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of clinical trials and registry preferred.
  • Prior experience working with physicians preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in health science or related field preferred.
  • Experience with web based data entry systems (MediData, RAVE) preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Database system knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic EMR preferred.
