Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to facilitate studies, evaluate eligibility, assist in informed consent, and coordinate protocol procedures with the medical staff. The role emphasizes rigorous data collection, regulatory coordination, and patient education throughout the study lifecycle.

The coordinator will register and randomize patients, ensure timely data submission, and support investigators in enrolling eligible candidates while maintaining protocol

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in clinical research or five-years in a health care role (e.g., paramedic, emergency medical technician, radiology technician).
• Degree in biology, psychology, or other clinical research-related area or equivalent education and experience.
• Three or more years of experience in clinical research.
• Clinical research certification through SOCRA or ACRP.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates eligibility of candidates by protocol requirements and data collection.
• Assists the investigator with the informed consent process and ensures adequate information for consent.
• Registers and randomizes eligible patients.
• Submits accurately completed data collection forms to sponsor or CRO on schedule.
• Coordinates tests and procedures per protocol with the site/PI, physicians, patients, nurses, and staff.
• Maintains contact with regulatory specialist to ensure IRB data accuracy and timely submissions.
• Assists investigators and clinicians in identifying and enrolling eligible patients into trials and ensures protocol compliance.
• Educates patients and families regarding research protocols and informs them of procedures and changes.

Education
