Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine Department of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support across the full lifecycle of clinical research. You will recruit, screen, enroll participants, coordinate visits, manage regulatory documents, and ensure adherence to approved protocols and human subjects protections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in clinical research settings.
• Experience with IRB processes and Good Clinical Practice.
• Familiarity with EMR, REDCap, CTMS and sponsor communications.

Responsibilities

• Identify potentially eligible patients for studies and coordinate screening.
• Serve as a point of contact for study participants and schedule visits.
• Coordinate study visits, follow-ups, and data collection per protocol.
• Assist with IRB materials, consent docs, and regulatory binders.
• Enter and reconcile study data, maintain accurate records.
• Support PI with timelines, sponsor communications, and study startup.
• Ensure compliance with protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate workflows between investigators, clinical teams, and partners.
• Support start-up activities, tool development, and SOP creation.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and identify strategies to improve enrollment.
• Track participant retention and follow-up activities.
• Assist with budgeting, reimbursements, and resource tracking.
• Maintain training records and certifications for study personnel.
• Represent the program professionally in communications with stakeholders.
