Responsibilities

• Push fluids, titrate drips, and recalculate rates as the patient's condition shifts hour to hour
• Own the service-minded corner of the unit - the rooms others overlook get your full attention
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams
• Sit with families through hard conversations about prognosis, code status, and goals of care
• Audit the unit's Venipuncture compliance weekly and brief the charge Clinical Research Coordinator on the gaps
• Teach HIPAA Compliance technique to families taking a patient home, then have them show you back
