Job summary

Stanford University’s Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery division seeks a clinical research coordinator to oversee recruitment, data management, and study operations in OHNS.

You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FDA), manage budgets, and collaborate with investigators and sponsors to advance cutting‑edge clinical research. Qualifications

• Track record of managing complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Experience in clinical research with Government and Industry Grants.
• Deep understanding of ethical standards for human subject research.
• Emotional intelligence to navigate a family-oriented work culture while maintaining professional excellence.
• Bachelor of Science degree in biology, microbiology, health sciences, or nursing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subject recruitment and study enrollment goals.
• Oversee data management for research projects; organize, collect, report data.
• Develop project schedules, targets, and lead team meetings.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff or students; hiring and evaluations as needed.
• Audit operations for regulatory compliance; monitor IRB submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators and sponsors; monitor adverse events and resolve queries.
• Lead policy/process improvements; define best practices.
• Develop study budgets; track milestones; invoice sponsors.
• Ensure IND submissions to the FDA and IRB renewals when applicable.
