Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to perform clinical research and patient treatment in conjunction with one or more specified clinical research protocols. Supervised by either a Clinical Site Manager or their designee.
This position will support the Department of Radiology & Radiological Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry, Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. The work involves assessing the effects on the cardiovascular system in individuals with a history of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), utilizing advanced brain and cardiac imaging techniques. The work will be performed on the USUHS/Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus in Bethesda.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing military medicine, serving military, medical, academic, and government clients by supporting scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians.
- Review new patient records, screen patients for research protocol eligibility, conduct interviews, collect and analyze data, determine patient commitment, obtain informed consent, and educate patients about the protocols.
- Collect, organize, and maintain data files, including administering psychological health and neurocognitive tests, and maintain weekly/monthly status reports.
- Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, and serve as a resource for patients.
- Transcribe and resolve data queries in case report forms, and prepare documentation under the guidance of project leaders.
- Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and ethical standards regarding confidentiality and privacy, and adhere to Good Clinical Practices.
- Schedule patient appointments and visits, assist with protocol audits/visits, and support protocols at other sites as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of federal and local research regulations involving human subjects
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels
- Certification with CAPS-5
- BLS Certification
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret background clearance
- CAPS-5 Certified
- BLS Certified
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods
- Primarily in a clinical setting
- Annual salary range: $57,650 - $93,100, based on experience and education
