Job summary

Meharry Medical College seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator II to coordinate advanced clinical research projects under supervision. You will access IRB/FDA/HIPAA guidelines, ensure trial integrity, and support operational and financial functions of the Center of Excellence for Clinical and Translational Research.

You will screen subjects, manage data and regulatory records, assist with budgets and contracts, and perform protocol procedures with investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in science required.
• Prior clinical research experience in patient care settings preferred (e.g., LPN travel phlebotomist or clinical research experience).

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility of potential subjects via screening interviews, review of medical records, and discussions with physicians/nurses.
• Maintain study records including case report forms, consent forms, and regulatory documents.
• Assist with budgets, contracts, and sponsor communications under PI/Associate Director guidance.
• Perform protocol procedures such as vital signs and ECGs.
• Coordinate collection, labeling, processing, and storage of specimens.
• Schedule visits and inform patients about study aspects and outcomes.
• Prepare IRB submissions and maintain communications with the PI.
