JOB SUMMARY
This position will be based at our SCCC Fort Worth clinic, but may be asked to travel to other regional clinics in times of coverage needs. The clinical research coordinator will manage all patient activity on clinical oncology trials for the SCCC regional clinics. This role interfaces with physicians and patients seeking to participate in treatment trials for their cancer. Coordinators review eligibility for prospective patients, schedule procedures in accordance with the IRB approved protocol, participates in the consent process and coordinates trial activities through their continuum of care. Unique to SCCC regional sites the coordinator is also responsible for research blood sample processing and data submission. They may also participate in tumor boards, monthly disease oriented team meetings, and other conferences.
