Job summary

Mount Sinai's Clinical Trials Office in the Division of Medical Genetics seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to join a team of investigators, genetic counselors and research staff engaged in cutting-edge research for rare genetic conditions.

Under supervision of principal investigators and CTO administration, the coordinator will support consent, data collection, regulatory documentation and biospecimen handling, ensuring accurate, confidential data and smooth site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or a closely related field.
• No experience required; one year of research experience preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Educating patients regarding study requirements and obtaining informed consent from participants.
• Data collection, data entry, and maintenance of research databases.
• Assisting in collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication/presentation.
• Recruiting participants for clinical research studies.
• Preparing research protocols and other regulatory documents for IRB submission.
• Maintaining source documents and subject files per Mount Sinai policies, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collecting and shipping biospecimens.
• Preparing for site visits from monitors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Serving as a liaison among patients, CROs, sponsors, grants teams, IRBs, and research staff.
• Attending research team meetings and conferences as needed.
• Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
