Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Kidney Precision Medicine Project and Renal Biorepository. The role focuses on recruitment, consent, specimen processing, and data management in close collaboration with KPMP investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or closely related field.
• No experience required. One year of research experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prescreening and presenting potential KPMP patients using Epic EMR.
• Recruitment of potential KPMP patients at outpatient clinics and inpatient wards; recruitment of Biorepository patients at outpatient/inpatient kidney biopsies.
• Performing informed consent procedures during Enrollment Visits for both studies, while adhering to protocol regulatory and ethical policies.
• Assisting in biopsy visits in coordination with biopsy and nursing services.
• Conducting Follow-Up Visits for KPMP participants according to protocol timelines.
• Clinical and bio-specimen data entry in various external and internal databases.
• Processing of patient bio-specimens (kidney tissue, blood, urine) and shipping of bio-specimens and tissue.
• Managing and preparing bio-specimen and clinical requests from internal and external collaborators.
• Preparation of clinical summary tables and figures.
• Attending virtual weekly Research Coordinator and monthly working group calls for KPMP.
• Attending in-person KPMP consortium meetings.
• Spanish speaker with native proficiency a huge plus.
