Job summary

Job Summary

The Global Enterics Laboratory’s Clinical Research Coordinator I position combines Clinical Research Coordination (25%) and Laboratory Research Technician responsibilities (75%).
Daily responsibilities include patient recruitment, enrollment, informed consent, and blood collection for clinical studies, along with processing and documentation of samples in compliance with regulatory standards.
The majority of time will be spent conducting wet lab experiments using human-derived samples to support ongoing and new research projects, including routine molecular and microbiological techniques, data collection, and lab maintenance.
Candidates should have prior bench research experience; phlebotomy experience is preferred, but training will be provided. This position is ideal for individuals interested in bridging patient-facing clinical research with hands‑on laboratory investigation.

Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor’s degree have a six‑month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.
