Job summary

University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator A in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to organize and implement a research study, including subject recruitment, data entry, visits, and biospecimen handling.

The role involves IRB submissions, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with investigators to build a biobank of blood specimens from early pregnancy and abstraction from medical records; a BS and 1–2 years’

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 1–2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience with electronic medical records and REDCap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct clinical studies, including subject recruitment, informed consent, chart maintenance and data entry.
• Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA and IRB guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements including collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentations.
• Oversee study preparation and blood sample processing and analysis.
• Database management and analysis.
• Ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining equipment.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations and related regulatory guidance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
