The Clinical Research Coordinator will assist in the coordination of Phase I-IV clinical trials, including coordination, organization and maintenance of all documentation required by Sponsor or CRO; data entry; resolve data queries with Sponsor or CRO; recruit, screen and enroll potential study subjects from inpatient, outpatient and emergency room; participate in the conduct of audits; process and ship blood, stool and specimens; schedule patient visits and any necessary testing; obtain records required to complete case report forms; conduct initiation, monitoring and closeout visits with Sponsor or CRO; adhere to all Penn IRB and FDA guidelines; prepare and process all IRB documentation.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical Research Coordinator A: will assist in the coordination of Phase I-IV clinical trials, including coordination, organization and maintenance of all documentation required by Sponsor or CRO; data entry; resolve data queries with Sponsor or CRO; recruit, screen and enroll potential study subjects from inpatient, outpatient and emergency room; participate in the conduct of audits; process and ship blood, stool and specimens; schedule patient visits and any necessary testing; obtain records required to complete case report forms; conduct initiation, monitoring and closeout visits with Sponsor or CRO; adhere to all Penn IRB and FDA guidelines; prepare and process all IRB documentation. Weekend work may be required as specified in protocols.

Clinical Research Coordinator B: In addition to the CRC A responsibilities, the CRC B will manage multiple multi center-clinical trials including working with partnering institutions on budgets and IRB paperwork. The CRC B will have limited supervision in the management of clinical trials and will need to use more independent judgement.

Clinical Research Coordinator A

Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Clinical Research Coordinator B

Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred:

CRC-A

Effective problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multitask. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations

CRC-B

Effective problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multitask. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently. Knowledge of GCP, IRB and human research protection regulations.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
