Job summary

Medix is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support 5 to 7 complex oncology/urology studies in Fairfax, VA. You will coordinate patient visits, perform phlebotomy, catheter insertions, and other hands-on procedures under physician supervision.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage study logistics, imaging scheduling, biopsies, vendor coordination, data entry, and patient recruitment. Travel to Alexandria and Manassas may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CRC experience.
• Strong clinical/medical skill set, including phlebotomy.
• Experience managing 5–7 complex oncology trials.
• Willingness to perform hands-on urologic procedures.
• Geographic flexibility to work on-site in Fairfax, VA with occasional travel to nearby sites.

• Performing clinical tasks and procedures, including phlebotomy, catheter insertion, and handling male and female genitalia.
• Managing study logistics, including scheduling patient imaging, biopsies, and outside vendors.
• Assisting physicians with patient flow and protocol requirements during visits.
• Working alongside central teams to support data entry and patient recruitment tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3+ years of Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) experience.
• Strong clinical/medical skill set, including phlebotomy and general medical procedures.
• Experience managing 5 to 7 complex oncology trials and handling high-logistics workflows (scheduling imaging, biopsies, and vendor coordination).
• Direct experience in Urology, Oncology, or Cardiology is preferred (Urology-specific clinical duties can be trained).
• Full willingness to perform hands-on urologic procedures, including handling male and female genitalia and placing catheters.
• Professional demeanor with an assertive, direct communication style suited for fast-paced, highly demanding physicians.
• Geographical flexibility to work out of site in Fairfax, VA, with required willingness to travel to Alexandria and Manasasses locations sometimes.
