Job Summary

The MGH Cardiovascular Imaging Research Center (CIRC https://circ.mgh.harvard.edu) is a joint Radiology and Cardiology program focused on improving cardiovascular health through clinical trials. Our focus is on bridging the gap between the development of new imaging markers, novel medical therapies, and demonstrating how they can change clinical practice. Key trials this position will support include PRE-EMPT (Prospective Randomized Evaluation and Management of Premature Atherosclerosis https://preemptstudy.org/), TRUST (https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04875702), and PROACT (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41706060/). The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be detail oriented. Experience with clinical trials, Internal Review Board (IRB) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents, REDCap, and working with large data sets are pluses. Clinical Research Coordinators directly report to the Senior Clinical Research Program/Project Manager. Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.

  • Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.

  • Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews.
