Job summary

Tanner Clinic in Layton, Utah is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to recruit and coordinate trial subjects, ensuring informed consent and proper screening while managing study visits and regulatory compliance.

You will handle data collection, medical histories, vital signs, phlebotomy, lab processing and shipping, AE recording, CRF completion, and sponsor communication. Strong written and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Background in a medical field and/or completed college level human body related courses.
  • Certifications and/or licenses are preferred but not required: CCRC, CNA, CMA, LPN.
  • Previous clinical research experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly motivated, organized and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of word processing and office procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and coordination of trial subjects covering informed consent, screening subjects through inclusion and exclusion criteria, and adhering to safety and compliance issues.
  • Coordination and management of the clinical trial, generating source documents on Microsoft Word, time management, visit coordination, product dispensing and accountability, monitoring visits, and communication with sponsor and authorities.
  • Data collection and management, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, performing phlebotomy, lab processing and shipping, recording and management of AEs, completing CRFs, filing and archiving, and resolving queries.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education

Equipment Operated

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc., and medical equipment including ECG machines, blood pressure cuffs, centrifuge, phlebotomy tools, etc.

Work Environment

Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Involves sitting approximately 50 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder, but percentage may vary depending on the trials being conducted.
