Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Research Billing Specialist to coordinate clinical trial billing, collection and reconciliation, and support daily department finance operations. The role involves interfacing with sponsors, vendors and research staff to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in accounting or related field, at least 2 years in billing or finance operations, and strong communication skills. NJ locale; competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in billing/coding or financial operations.
• Experience with billing and collection processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and tracking payments from clinical trial sponsors for patient visits and study costs.
• Perform payments reconciliation to clinical research.
• Process payment requests for patient reimbursement and to vendors per policy.
• Assist in preparation of reports for Finance and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain communication with site staff and external vendors.
