University of Cincinnati is seeking a Research Associate in the Internal Medicine Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine to coordinate and manage multiple complex research projects at the main campus and affiliated facilities. The role emphasizes adherence to GCP, data integrity, and collaboration with care teams in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Responsibilities include patient screening, enrollment, sample processing, data management, and contributing to QA and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences or a related field.
• Experience coordinating and managing clinical research projects.
• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical research projects studying sepsis, acute respiratory failure, pneumonia and related conditions.
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all federal, state, and local laws related to research activities.
• Conduct and coordinate study activities including patient screening, enrollment, and education.
• Process human and murine samples from clinical and basic science studies.
• Run assays to measure analytes (e.g., ELISAs) from in vivo and in vitro studies.
• Document and evaluate adverse events and patient responses to treatment.
• Implement GCP to ensure patient safety and data integrity.
• Collaborate with care coordinators, social workers, physicians, and other treatment team members.
• Assist with Quality Assurance projects and internal audits.
• Manage study data: data collection, entry, verification, and analysis.

Education
