Job summary

ICON Strategic Solutions in the United States seeks a Clinical Research Associate with 2+ years of on-site monitoring experience to support oncology studies. You will be the primary site liaison, conduct visits, and ensure ICH-GCP compliance while maintaining CTMS and eTMF records.

Travel is Western regional with a company car. You will monitor data quality, support subject recruitment, track safety reporting, and manage site budgets alongside CTAs, LTMs and CTMs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of on-site monitoring experience in pharma/CRO
• Oncology or hematology studies experience
• Bachelor’s degree Life Sciences or RN or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary site contact between investigational sites and sponsor
• Conduct site visits (selection, initiation, routine monitoring, close-out)
• Ensure site compliance with ICH-GCP, SOPs, and local regulations
• Maintain CTMS and eTMF documentation
• Monitor safety reporting and recruitment efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (CTAs, LTMs, CTMs) to drive data quality
• Oversee drug accountability and site budgets when applicable
• Document site progress and escalate risks to the clinical team

Job description

This is a great opportunity to expand your CRA experience by joining our reputable global CRO and align with an exciting sponsor involved in dynamic oncology studies! Travel is Western regional and very reasonable + you get a company car while working with this sponsor team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between investigational sites and the sponsor
• Conduct all types of site visits, including selection, initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out
• Ensure site compliance with ICH-GCP, SOPs, and Health Canada regulations
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in CTMS and eTMF systems
• Support and track site staff training and maintain compliance records
• Monitor patient safety, ensuring timely and accurate AE/SAE/PQC reporting
• Support subject recruitment and retention efforts at the site level
• Oversee drug accountability and ensure proper storage, return, or destruction
• Resolve data queries and drive timely, high-quality data entry
• Document site progress and elevate risks or issues to the clinical team
• Assist in tracking site budgets and ensuring timely site payments (as applicable)
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including CTAs, LTMs, and CTMs

You are:

• Based in California or nearby PST/MST state
• Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
• A clinical research professional with 2 + years of on-site monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
• Experienced in oncology or hematology studies
• A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent, or a qualified RN
• Proficient in ICH-GCP, local regulatory requirements, and clinical systems like CTMS and eTMF
• A clear communicator, problem-solver, and collaborative team player
