Job summary

RedBrick Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented lab professional to assist in processing patient specimens and supporting LC-MS testing in a regulated lab environment. The role emphasizes accuracy in data handling and documentation in LIS.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, familiarity with basic lab techniques, and ASCP eligibility or certification. Prior experience with LC-MS or immunoassay platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is required.
• Familiar with basic lab techniques and processing human specimens.
• Ability to adhere to SOPs in a regulated environment (CAP/CLIA).
• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience with LC-MS or immunoassay platforms (academic acceptable).

Responsibilities

Job description

• Perform basic sample prep of patient specimens
• Support LC-MS testing
• Load samples onto analytical instruments
• Review test data for accuracy
• Share uncommon test results with management
• Adhere to CAP, CLIA, and all lab quality standards
• Perform routine QC procedures & documentation
• Participate in validation, testing, & assessment training
• Share uncommon instrument issues or quality concerns with management
• Document testing, QC results, & maintenance logs accurately in LIS
• Maintain clear, organized, and compliant lab records
• Maintain a clean, organized, & safe lab area
• Assist with reagent prep, inventory restocking/tracking

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a similar scientific field
• Familiar with basic lab techniques & processing human specimens
• Ability to adhere to SOPs in a regulated environment (i.e. CAP/CLIA)
• ASCP (or equivalent) Cert. or eligibility status preferred
• Experience with LC-MS or immunoassay platforms (academic is acceptable)
• Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
