Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Center for Shock Trauma and Anesthesiology Research/Trauma Research seeks a C1 Research Assistant, Clinical to assist with clinical research projects, recruit potential study subjects, and collect and organize data in a fast-paced environment.

This temporary, full-time, non-benefitted role requires rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, with duties spanning data management, analysis, and grant-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; clinical research experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting and consenting participants.
• Experience with data collection, entry and quality checks.
• Familiarity with IRB processes and study documentation.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with participants regarding the research study.
• Performs data collection via interviews, chart reviews, and EMR access.
• Recruits and screens subjects per IRB-approved protocols.
• Verifies eligibility, obtains consent, and ensures accurate follow-up data.
• Maintains databases and generates reports using Excel/Access.
• Performs data checks, audits, and cleaning; supports grants and publications.
