Job summary

Union Community Care is seeking a Research Assistant to support day-to-day study activities at performance sites in the West End area of Lancaster, PA. You will obtain informed consent, conduct assessments, enter data, and manage participant follow-up and compensation.

As part of the team, you will assist with regulatory tasks, quality monitoring, and ensure adherence to human subjects protections and Good Clinical Practice. You will attend conference calls and provide progress updates as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field or equivalent.
• One year of experience in health care or human services fields.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Previous project-related work including population-specific research within medical settings.
• Prior research experience and some understanding of research procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain study and obtain informed consent.
• Conduct research interviews at primary care study sites.
• Schedule and coordinate participant visits.
• Track participant flow and maintain accurate tracking logs.
• Review data entries and resolve data queries.
• Maintain study files and ensure confidentiality and integrity.
• Ensure protocol compliance with recruitment, screening, and visits.
• Assist with preparation of research documents for IRBs.
• Support overall project operations as needed.
• Attend study conference calls and provide progress updates.
