Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC - Univ) seeks a Research Assistant to support orthopaedics and PM&R studies. You will recruit participants, collect questionnaires and data, enter data accurately, and assist investigators and staff with study logistics.

The position emphasizes patient engagement, data quality, and timely reporting to PIs. Responsibilities include coordinating follow-ups, maintaining enrollment logs, and assisting travel to clinics when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years relevant program experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute.
• Experience collecting data, administering questionnaires, and entering data for research studies.
• Ability to manage data and use Excel to maintain logs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist PI in ambulatory clinics by administering questionnaires and obtaining consents.
• Schedule follow-up visits and collect outcome survey data by phone.
• Input study data into databases and generate reports for PIs and coordinators.
• Travel with Research Coordinator to clinic sites to support recruitment and data collection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
