Job summary

OHSU is seeking a TI Clinical Research Assistant to support the Total Joints and Tumor Ortho faculty with clinical research activities on campus in Portland. The role involves screening/enrollment, scheduling, data collection, and coordinating with the lab for specimen processing.

Responsibilities include developing electronic data capture, assisting with IRB submissions and manuscript preparation, attending research meetings, and assisting with grant proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience accepted.
• 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination required.
• Prior clinical and/or research experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong typing, editing and proofreading; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and implementation of research protocols including screening/enrollment and scheduling.
• Attend meetings pertaining to research activities and assist with IRB submissions.
• Assist with manuscript development and grant proposal submissions.
• Develop electronic data capture systems and coordinate data collection.
• Work with lab on specimen collection, processing, and lab models.
