Job summary

The University of Florida seeks a Clinical Research Assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery-RNA Lab on the Main Campus in Gainesville, FL. You will support trial coordination, data management, and translational research operations under the guidance of the PI and R&D team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience; preferred certification as a veterinary technician and comfort with lab data entry and protocol management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Preferred Certified veterinary technician.
• Experience with Veterinary Oncology programs is preferred.
• Experience with research trials is preferred but not essential.
• Computer skills using database programs (Excel, Access, Word).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities of assigned clinical trials in Comparative Oncology to ensure data validity.
• Transmit and distribute protocol information and update relevant parties as needed.
• Assist with vaccine administration and patient monitoring in the ICU under supervision.
• Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians about eligibility and follow-up.
• Schedule patient/research participant appointments and train volunteers.
