Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant in Medical Oncology to support translational projects at the Hasanov Lab within the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology. You will collect patient samples, review EMR data, and enter data into CLIMBS and REDCAP under supervision of the PI.

The role involves coordinating regulatory documentation, preparing reports, and assisting with manuscript planning and data analysis.

Qualifications

Clinical Research Assistant-Medical Oncology## Department:Medicine | IM Medical Oncology**Scope/Summary:**Functions as a Clinical and Translational Research Assistant providing support to the Hasanov Lab in the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) and to our clinical trial partners; coordinates and tracks collection of patient research samples; assists in collection of research data; performs data collection with electronic medical record chart review; Assists with collection, entering and maintaining clinical research data into study database (CLIMBS, REDCAP); performs data entry and prepares study reports; oversees and maintains accurate records of research activities; maintains Institutional Review Board approvals and regulatory documentation; provides support in planning and implementing programmatic activities; serves as a liaison with research team and other departments; works closely with and supports trainees/students, data analyst, biostatistician, clinic staff, and principal investigator in their research efforts; attends research team meetings; assists with analysis of research results; participates in planning, designing, and execution of translational research studies; conducts critical analysis of research literature; develops plans and resource tools to meet requirements of new protocols; summarizes data for inclusion in grant proposals and manuscripts; assists principal investigator with the preparation and submission of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts; co-authors manuscripts; if interested, may learn support biostatistical analyses for clinical and translational research projects; performs other duties as assigned by PI. **Minimum Qualifications:**Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 0 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.## Additional Information:## Location:Pelotonia Research Center (1040)## Position Type:Term (Fixed Term)## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
