Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a capable research support professional to work very independently under supervision. You will assist with clinical research studies, recruit participants, assess eligibility, and help develop study protocols and data systems.

The role emphasizes data quality, coordination with investigators, and training staff. The position is onsite at a Mass General Brigham site with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science required.
• Experience in research and data management 1-2 years required.
• Experience in lieu of degree: Yes

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the implementation, both internally and externally, of sponsored clinical research studies.
• Initiates and maintains contact with study participants. Screens applicants for eligibility and may perform clinical tests.
• Develops and implements patient recruitment strategies with Principal Investigator/Research Manager.
• Develops, organizes, and maintains the study database. Ensures data validation and quality control.
• Develops new research protocols including data collection systems and IRB approval.
• Recommends changes to research protocols.
• Performs literature searches as appropriate.
• Assists PI or Research Manager with preparation for presentations and publications.
• Trains and orients new staff; may supervise in smaller areas.
• All other duties as assigned.
