Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate daily activities of clinical research studies. You will screen and enroll patients, monitor protocol implementation, and report results while maintaining study standards and procedures.

You will communicate with team members, ensure proper study progress, and assist with IRB submissions and documentation. The role involves collaboration across onsite and offsite locations to support patient care and research

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 0-1 years of relevant research experience.

Responsibilities

• Consents and enrolls patients for research studies by providing detailed information on the Research Study to patients and families.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and responds to inquiries.
• Obtains informed consent and enrolls patients in research studies.
• Reviews clinical information to identify patients meeting study inclusion criteria.
• Serves as liaison to families/patients, guiding them through each phase of the study.
• Coordinates follow-up visits as necessary.
• Addresses concerns of study participants and troubleshoots issues during the study.
• Prepares documentation needed for IRB submissions and PI approval.
• Tracks progress from submission to approval; assists with study documents and manuscripts.
• May train and orient newly hired study personnel; coordinates activities with departments.
